New Skill.....Crawling :)

So Kaylee will be 9 months on Saturday…I’m saving some stuff to talk about for her 9 month post, but I couldn’t wait to share a video of this little girl crawling. She mastered this skill very quickly over the weekend and is now crawling EVERYWHERE!! The video is of when she first started crawling and she has this little hop to it (its sooo cute). It’s amazing how fast she picked up on it. She still LOVES to walk holding on to our hands and we bought her a rolling toy that she can walk behind all by herself (with mommy or daddy close by). There is so much more to talk about, but I have to save it for her 9 month post. I also posted some other cute pictures and one showcases Kaylee’s little temper. She gives this look when she wants something we won’t let her have.

Enjoy :)

The little glare...Can't believe it's starting so soon, but it is adorable :)

Someone is wearing daddy's hat...

Dogs and Snow....So funny!!

I got a couple of pictures of the dogs playing in the snow... They were cracking me up. The only reason they wanted to go outside is because the neighbor dog was out for a second... They bolted out to the corner of the yard, barked for a minute, and came running back to the house... They are wearing their little doggy jackets and having a blast.

8 Months Old

Kaylee is 8 months old. Time flies when you’re having fun. I can’t tell you how much fun Kaylee is. This little girl always has us cracking up and laughing about something. She is a very vocal baby and can now say "Da Da" and "Duck" really well and associates the meaning. She has just recently started with "Ba Ba" for bottle and is working on that and is now saying "Bye" which really sounds like "buh" but she waves at the same time so the recognition is kicking in. We are diligently working on saying "ma ma" lol.

Duck was her second word where she associated the meaning. This is because she is obsessed with her rubber ducky. It doesn't even make it to the bath tub anymore because she is always playing with it somewhere else. It usually travels with us wherever we go.

There are some other new things going on with this little one...

Kaylee now has 4 teeth...Yay!!! She has her two bottom teeth and her two front top teeth.

Kaylee is rocking up onto her hands and knees and scoots backwards. She still rolls everywhere and loves to stand next to the ottoman and hold onto it. She will stand there and do little jumps up and down and beating on the top of the ottoman.

She is very vocal and isn't shy about it. We will be at the grocery store and she is just talking up a storm to anyone and everyone and sometimes to no one at all.

She is officially out of that tiny infant car seat and into a bigger car seat. I’m pretty sure she likes the roominess; she loves to kick those legs.

She loves sweet potatoes, bananas, squash, pears, green beans, peas, and most other things we give her. We tried mango today, but she wasn’t having any of that :)

She is working on the sippy cup. She just chew’s on it instead of drinking from it. She’ll get the hang of it soon.

We had to lower Kaylee’s crib, because she was pulling herself up on the side of it and standing. She is getting so big, so fast :)

The hair on the top of this girls head grows so much faster than the hair on the side of her head. Her little bangs are so long and they do whatever they want. We put clips in her hair, but sometimes she pulls them out lol.

Christmas was a blast...She was pretty interested in the bows and paper. She would beat down on a box that was wrapped and if there was a spot to poke through the paper, she would grab the paper and pull (I know… it’s the little things lol). It was so freakin' cute and more than I expected for her first time. She loved the bows the most I think, so we had to get a picture of a couple on her head :)

Here are a lot of pictures of our goofy girl...I wanted to post a video, but it's to big for blogger to let me post it. Its the cutest thing ever too :(

Enjoy the pictures

Blowing raspberries at mommy...

I'm pooped! Time for a break.

This is what happens when you scoot backward :)

How cute...

Always watching the ceiling fan and playing with her feet.

Kaylee loves to wave.

When she gets tired of rolling to get the toys, she always has her feet lol

She loves the mirror on this, she has pulled it off a time or two :)

Goofy girl...she tried to reach for the blinds too....gonna have to watch her closely.
She loves the camera for a little while...

"Really, with the camera again?"

Her favorite toy...her rubber ducky AKA "duck, duck".

7 months

Ok, ok...I know I posted that a new post was coming soon, but what can I say? It has been really busy around here. Josh and I both had final exams on the same day, Kaylee and I have been really sick (although we are getting better now). With Christmas here and gone now, we have done a lot of shopping, wrapping, decorating and preparing for Kaylee's first Christmas. Kaylee is fascinated by the Christmas tree. We visited a lot of family members in the last couple of days, and had a wonderful time.

Kaylee is one wonderful baby. It's amazing to watch a baby grow and learn new things. As you know, Kaylee gives high fives, but now she will give high fives to just about everyone. She loves to sit up, roll around and stand while holding you hands. I think Kaylee is trying her hardest to skip crawling and going straight for walking. She will stand holding your hands, and she has started taking a few steps like this. She rolls everywhere to get to where she wants to go.

I know I say it a lot, but Kaylee LOVES SportsCenter. I just don't understand why. Her favorite cartoon is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for sure. She loves the hot dog song they sing at the end, so we had to get her the CD for Christmas.

Kaylee will be cutting her two upper teeth soon, I believe. Her gums are swollen and have little tiny holes where it looks like the tooth will poke out any moment.

Little Bits of INFO...

  • Kaylee loves to look at herself in the mirror
    She loves baths
She rolls around like a wild child (and she is quick)
She is fascinated by Zoe, and Zoe is fascinated by her...(maybe they will be best friends).
She is a Daddy's girl to boot
She is in 6-9 month clothes and some 9 month clothes
She is 27.5 inches long which is in the 90th percentile (she is super long)
She weighed 18.6lbs at her well check up.
She talks up a storm with lots of babble and some “mama’s and dada’s in there.

We had Kaylee's 6 month pictures done, as well as our family pictures and our family Christmas pictures. I love the way these turned out.
