Josh and I both agree that being Kaylee’s mom and dad is the most wonderful gift in the world. She is her own little person now and everyday is fantastic with her. She is learning and trying so many things. It is amazing how she has turned that corner from baby to toddler so quick. Every minute of every day is a blast with her.
She is learning the “head, shoulders, knees and toes” song and can point to her head, nose and eyes now. Her vocabulary is growing and it seems like every day brings out a new word. She loves to play tag with us.
Bath time is a hoot with her. She goes crazy smacking and splashing the water. We bought her a baby pool that she just loves and does the same thing. This was the first time she has experienced water that comes out of a garden hose (since it is much colder than her bath water) but since it splashed like the bath tub she warmed up to it very quickly. She loved getting out of the pool, running in the yard, and then getting back in the pool. It’s a blast.
She loves going to the park. She loves swinging and has recently discovered the slide. We are looking into getting something for the back yard because she has so much fun playing at the park. The patio swing was her favorite, but it is not as much fun to her anymore.
She is a little eater now. She LOVES green beans (she might very well turn into one because she eats that many). She also loves mac and cheese, eggs, toast, yogurt, carrots, chicken, pineapple, as well as cheese and crackers.
She is still being stubborn about saying mama :( She knows how to say it and what it means, but just doesn’t say it that often. I do get kisses and hugs like crazy and she is all about me or Josh if others are around…I can handle that..lol. She is a daddy’s girl to boot; I’m chopped liver when daddy is around (ok, maybe not chopped liver, just mommy dramatics!). She leans forward out of Josh’s arms to give me a kiss and high fives, etc, but then darts right back to daddy and giving him a gigantic hug.
Tid bits....
She is off formula…yay!
She is facing forward now in the car.
She loves turning off light switches.
She wears 18-24 month clothes.
She is in a size 5 diaper
She is almost in a size 5 shoe.
She can shake your hand.
After we change her diaper, she will take her diaper to the trash can and the wants to wash her hands with us.
FIRST HAIR CUT
We took Kaylee to get her first hair cut on Monday. We took her to Cookie Cutters, which she loved. They had an indoor playground and slide that she played on with daddy. She got to sit in a fancy car and was given a box of toys that she could play with. It was great because there were a lot of distractions for her so she didn’t have to focus on the strange lady with the scissors coming at her head. It was trimmed up and looks a lot cleaner now. We will still be doing ponytails until Kaylee can leave the clips that go in her hair alone. We want her hair to grow out a little longer so that we can do more things other than put it in a ponytail.
As soon as I get the pictures off of the camera and onto the computer, I will post TONS of pics :) I'm just having way too much fun playing with Kaylee and enjoying this beautiful weather!!
