Loving Every Moment...: Two Weeks Old!!

Kaylee is two weeks old today. She also had her first doctor’s appointment today and all went well. Kaylee has caught back up on her birth weight and then some. She now weighs 7 lbs 6 oz and grew a quarter of an inch. We are patiently waiting on her cord stump to fall off (its hanging on by a thread!). She is on a much better routine with sleeping at night and usually only wakes up one time. She loves to kick her feet and hates socks, blankets and sleepers with the feet in them. She has been trying to focus on our faces lately and she gets this look of amazement on her face which is very funny. We can see her neck getting stronger and stronger as well as those arms and legs.

Kaylee does really well in public places. She has been to Target a few times and we took her out to eat with us today. I have been going stir crazy at home, so we will go for a car ride or go to Target to get a few things and walk around. I am finally allowed to drive again after my surgery, so my "stuck at home" feeling is fading fast.

We had a nice weekend and sat outside on Memorial Day while Josh cooked on the grill. Kaylee has met many, many people in the last week and loves new people paying attention to her. She got to meet her great grandparents (Josh's grandparents) on Sunday. Pap-Paw gave her her first Bible with a very special inscription just for her. Then, last night she met 3 families that are our neighbors. She was very interested when everyone started to talk to her.

Josh goes back to work tomorrow (booooo). It has been awesome having him home for 2 weeks. Kaylee and Daddy have been watching Sports Center together and who can forget about the playoffs! Josh has come to the conclusion that since she likes to kick her legs so much that she might play for the WNBA some day. We can only hope she doesn't get her height from me!!
